New to the scene ... in fact just done my first intro lesson. i think i am hooked.
I'd be keen to hook up with some other beginners, or some more experienced riders that don't mind showing the newbies the ropes (so to speak).

Where are good spots in (and around) Akl to head out as a beginner?

Auckland kiters are a pretty friendly bunch so if you see us at the beach and need some help/advice come on over.
Where in Auckland do you live, that will probably determine where your local kite spot is.

yeah i can see how this can be addictive. everyone i have spoken to has said it is so very addictive, kinda scares me. but hey, i guess you only live once so why not!

i stay in Bayswater, 200m from Shoal Bay, and work in Takapuna. don't have any issues with driving to find some wind though

haven't seen many people out at Shoal Bay of late, maybe it's just wind dependent.

Shoal bay is a great spot on SW winds, but we were getting North Easterlies last week so Cheltenham and Takapuna would have been your local beaches.
The wind is looking light this week, but I'll do a little wind dance tonight and see what I can summon from the wind Gods

I hope your wind dance will work I'm having withdrawl symptomes.

Did a lil roadtrip over Xmas new year and it was pretty windless. I just managed one very light session of my whole hollidays. Now I'm hopping on some after work session if a thermal breeze kicks in
