Seem like there are a few guys into making movies of the local NZ crew !!

For those of you how are unable to download the clips I have uploaded on the net but would still like to see these clips Pop down to WSP in Barrys Point RD. They have a DVD copy and play these clips on the big screen at the shop.


If there are any other shops who would like a DVD copy let me know.
I am not interested in making any cash from it, but would like to cover the costs of the DVD and postage.


If any of you would like a DVD or VCD copy let me know.

Shot.. Its nice to get feed back.
I spent quite a bit of good kiting time filming the other guys having a blast.
You will also be amazed at how long it takes to edit video clips.
When you hear positive feedback it makes it worthwhile.

I have a lot of other great footage and working on a full DVD at the moment.
I have not mentioned this as I am heading back to Cape Town at the end of the year for a few months and did not want to put extra pressure of trying to get out a DVD.
Lets see how the winter goes !! I have enough good footage to make a great 30 min DVD at the moment. With a few interviews and add ons I should get one out before I go.

The footage of Brad did not do him enough justice. I have kept some of the better moves for the DVD He has come along way since I arrived 1 year ago.. I think he has a night spot were he goes to practice.. Flood lights and all. !!

If any one has any good footage they have already filmed or think they could add some thing to a DVD, let me know. Funny serious - mad what ever

I'm now in Perth, been here for about 2 weeks. Had a couple of good sessions, despite the locals grumbling about how shit the winter conditions are, I think its amazing!!

I've been riding almost daily at my favourite flat water location. Got some interesting moves going on and loving the new slingshot kite.

Gotta go, better get back to job-hunting (not too hard though cos I'm enjoying all this time off...)

Hoping to settle here permanantly, came to the conclusion that SA is good for holidays, but not great living.

Scarborough is good, but a bit choppy and cross-shore, I'm preferring the sweet-flat water spots around Freemantle, and hoping to start tripping North to the world famous spots like Lancelin etc.

Well I finished my contract at TWH!! and started a new contract on Monday !! This time I get to finish at 11:45 every day --- YYEEEHHAAA
(4 hour working day)
The misses is still coming to terms with it.. so no more Shoal bay reports. Ok I was a bit slack at updating the wind report.

Today Ian, Gelom and my self had a session at Waiwera.
Its been a while since I had such a mean ASS session.
Ian had his first off the water handle pass !!
I had a few laughs watching him running after his kite when things went pare shaped.
I am not even going to describe the DUFF that Gelom was doing. That dude is sick.

NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT QUESTION Who was the kite surfer on the news tonight? I caught the last 2 seconds of it. Some one with a red (maybe Nash Kite).
It was at the end of the news.. may have been the weather report.

I forgot to mention we were kite Surfing with 2 Orca yesterday
Not only was it a mad session but there were frigging whales bopping and
Weaving in the waves.

Lee and I went to Omaha - was way overpowered on my 16m but couldnt be arsed changing down. Had 1.5 hrs of biggish surf and some fairly big air when I was able to hold my edge. There was loads more wind than Orewa (probably 16-20 knots versus maybe 12knts at kite beach). No whales though.

Yeah, Omaha was the go alright.
Kicking waves, solid wind and only 3 kites out.
16m was a bit big for sure. tried out a new move, you snot a few waves toeside then unhook one side of your harness max out over powered through the surf to the beach, then try to land the kite. Accidently un hooking the other side of your harness in the process. Got a bit messy after that. I need a rest anyway.

Amazing how light the wind was at Orewa and Waiwera compared to Omaha. Guess the E/SE sucks in heavier through the valley up there.

Called into Waiwera for 2 mins... Who was that guy chasing his Slingshot up the beach ...

Twas me since I was the only one ridding a slingshot.
Ian was on his Nash and Gelom was on the North.
I dont remember running after my kite as I had my safety leash on.. however I had a few close calls with the houses between tides. The best spot was along the walkway.
Ian did not have a safety leash and had to make a bolt for his kite and bar, when he let go of his bar after a failed attempt at a handle pass.

This arvo at Orewa was the perfect day for getting a tan ..ggrrrr.

So it seems we never will find out who the mystery TV1 kiter was
