well, why don't you get it started southboy - you seem to have a few opinions?

no one else really cares. people who kite know where they're at with themselves and their mates. if they've been around longer than about two years they have also probably competed with the rest of the best on a fairly regular basis and know what patterns have emerged.

to be sure, there are plenty of new, young whippersnappers now, and a whole bunch of new blood brothers that have never had the opportunity to compete.

some of them kite really well, are outstanding even, in their local ponds - but they will always have a very hard time beating about 20 odd seasoned veterans in open, women, masters and youth fleets that have been right into this trip for almost half a decade. if and when they do, they will deserve it.

as always the bringing on of such a contest is another thing, and fraught with diversions along the way.
