I had a LONG session in the waves at South Brighton today, nicely powered on my 13m, cross-on from the right with a peaky up to head high swell pushing in.

Neil and I were first out before 11am, Delphine and Fiona joined us and later Tim turned up about 2 hours after I called him to tell him it was on.

The wind built, the sun came out, we all rode waves, smacked lips and generally made pigs of ourselves into the afternoon.

Ive been in the middle of wave directional development recently, and my 142x41 concave three fin was just eating the conditions up nothing like a bit of board area under the feet and some fin area in the tail to let you SURF waves rather than get towed along them.

Around 2.30pm I called it quits with the wind backing off a little and the incoming tide messing the swell up.

Best session Ive had in months, and knowing ch-ch days like this are going to be rare until September.
