I'm trying to get my hands on a 2011 F-One Bamboo Fish or Signature in NZ.

In order to get a shipment in, Christophe needs quite a few orders. Wouldn't it be cool to have some of these boards in NZ???

If you are interested in joining me in my order so we can get some sent here asap, get in touch with Christophe (or PM me if you haven't got his details - don't want him getting spammed)

bamboo aye.... sounds pretty cool. i've done alot of research on bamboo for use with skateboards/ mountainboards and it appears to be a very good modulus. bendy, strong. Fairly dense tho so it could be a heavier product.

I'll be building a bamboo/carbon landboard in the near future. money has dried up at the mo so sorry bro i wont be ordering.

Those bamboo boards look great, they will probably cost you a packet to get into NZ...you can certainly get something similar already in NZ, probably not bamboo, but definitely a nice epoxy board that is just as good as the F-Ones. Carbon Art kite surfboards come to mind. Super strong with great flex characteristics. Yeah I do ride one myself, (well the surfboard version anyway) but don't get anything from them for pimping them...& I ride other brands too.

Another brand you might want to look at is Firewire kiteboards Not directly available in NZ, but there are Firewire dealers in various surf shops around the country that might be able to ship one in. These are awesome boards & I highly recommend them. Plus the F-One boards are made by Firewire in their factory anyway, although they use a different construction method to what is used on the Firewire boards.

Firstly I do not want to cut in on my good friend Christophe's deal. The F-one surfboards look great and the bamboo construction is awesome, so if you can get something together with Christophe then go for it.
That said, I do have a shipment of the new Slingshot surfboards on the water right now, due in port within 2 weeks.
Check them out at www.slingshotsports.com
These are full bamboo veneer construction, also built in the Firewire factory. They look and ride awesome. I am currently riding the Celiritas 5'8'' and love it. Super fast and snappy, perfect for small to medium size waves and great bottom end too. Can't wait to ride the new Tyrant 6'2'' with features the bamboo plus carbon rails. This is slight refinement of the Ben Wilson pro design, my all time favorite board for bigger waves. All the boards feature the new SS fast track system and come with a track filler making the switch from strapped to strapless super quick and easy.
Check them out at Ballistic's 66 Barry's point road Takapuna, www.ballistics.co.nz within the next couple of weeks or enquire at you local Slingshot Kite dealer.
Still waiting for wind in Luderitz however it looks good from Friday(tomorrow) thru wednesday

I had forgotten about the new Slingshot surfboards...definitely worth checking them out too. Construction & quality is usually really good in all Slingshot products.
