Anyone else out there using one of the new Peter Lynn Chargers? Would be keen to hear how you find them?
I have a 10m but so far have only used it once in the buggy. Amazing turning speed. Hopefully will get it out on the water
sometime soon.

one of the lads uses 2 skin arcs in the buggy, pretty good for freestyle ,but i too had a 10m venom and found it hard to use in the buggy. once you get it airborne and running your almost over powered unless you weight 100+ kilos . i like the auto zenith and that it can be used in any area of kiting but i have moved on to specific kites for specific purpose, the charger should be much better than the venom though. if your comin to the moose meet you can swap notes with us lot..

Hmm won't be this year unfortunately - hopefully next year - but hoping to do Foxton at Christmas so maybe then.

I had flown a Venom once before and didn't really have an opinion of that one. Was going to get another HQ Neo (8m) but after reading about the Charger decided to give it a go. Had it up first time in a very light wind (few knots) and found the turning speed stunning in such light wind. (in fact there was not enough wind to inflate it properly - had to borrow a mates fan)

In the buggy the second time with around 10 knots - again very quick turning - took a while to get used to at first. Auto zenith... brilliant. Liked it as a buggy kite.

Hope to use it on the water in 15knots+ (ish)

let me know when you are doing a foxton trip i'll try to make a dash down for the day.

my 10m venom. which was also jimmies was really a high wind kite. 18+ knots. i would have thought the 10m charger would be similar??? tho i here there are heaps better than the old venoms.

Most of the stuff I read about the Charger said they had a lower wind starting point than the older twin skins eg the 12m Charger would do instead of say a 15m Synergy. I am under 70 kg so that will help. The depower is better than all my other kites.

The charger starts very early, but also has a good depower when it gets to higher winds.
I can use the 10 qm (70kg) from 15-25 kn. It has a very fast turning, and I really love it.
I used to ride the venom 2 before, but there ist a huge difference between these kites.
The autozenit is se same, but the charger ist much more stable and faster = better performance.
I only use it on the water and I'm very happy with it.
I really recommend it.

Hey Cosima - I find the turning very fast (10m) - almost too quick compared to all my other kites. I have it set on the slowest turn setting and it is still fast. What length lines are you using? I have added the extensions and prefer it that way.

Unfortunetly I only got the small bar, which just has 20 m lines + 3 meter extensions.

Normaly I ride it with 23 ( also the 8 and 12qm).
I tried to ride the 8qm with 20 meters, but I didn't like that.
The adjusters inside the kite are always loose, so the windrage is bigger.

The turning ist very fast, its very hard at the beginning, also to land the jumps, but after a few rides it gets easier and easier.

I thought that it will be ok just to ride the 8 and 12qm, but that isn't the perfect set up. I did ride the 12 into 22 kn, but it gets very hard then. So I had to buy the 10 to and now I got the perfect set up

Hmm - I have been thinking of getting a 12 as well. What wind range do you get out of it. I was wondering if I need to go to the
15. (I am around the same weight)
I have the bar set up on the inside mount to slow the turning down, the only lines I have are the 20+3m one that came with the 10. Do you use the one bar/lines for all? (always the questions! Nice to find somebody else with a Charger!)

Normaly you juse a bigger bar for the 12, but I got the wrong bar, so I just fligh the 12 with the small bar as well, and it doesn't matter.

I was also thinking of buying the 15, but they told me its just for heavy riders and that I wont having fun with it.
The 12 starts at the same wind, - when there is enough to inflate it. The difference is just that the 12 ist for lighter riders( like us) and its faster turning.

So I would recommend you the 12 - its a very nice kite !

Yep will have a look at the 12m What is your wind range with it? Have you tried the inside and outside mounting points on the bar. I guess the outside would be ok with the 12 and maybe the inside for the 10? I have aleady lost a couple of stick caps
