What is KiteATB ? :shock:

i presume kiting with your mountain board (or all terrain board) - a funky little habit that a few of us jafas indulge in every now and again, usually at orewa or muriwai.

tim stockman and a bunch of guys in chch are right into it.

There is no water in Shoal Bay at the moment.
It should be on its way in soon.

Kite atb is definately the nuts. Am coming back home to NZ in NOV an was looking to see what the scene is like back there. Been boarding for 2 years over here in the uk an am gonna bring my Frenzys home for some good ole kiwi hospitality. The beaches are getting restricted left right an centre over here an our options are rapidly decreasing. Cant wait to fly back at home in the sun, Started flying over here so need a few tips on top spots back in NZ. What sort of kites you guys flyin, an boards?
Am riding KITEDECK over here, trampa decks with their bits. Top combination.
Any competitions on the cards or events? jus keen to learn a little bout the scene.

not much of a scene here - just plenty of great, unrestricted beaches.

there is a gruop into atb in auckland,some r +ova with kites,and it is the shit, nearly as perfect as kiteboarding but not as 4giving, u need to nail ur jumps ...b safe

Christchurch has a great kite mountainboard scene, heaps of space at the beach, reliable NE winds, light from April to Sept. stronger from October to March.
Kitesports as a whole is very progressive here, the core group have a good attitude towards each other, which breeds development of the sport.

Tim, Id be keen to come down an pay ya a visit while im over. Am looking for likeminded boarders to ride with an i have relatives in ChCh so sounds like a winner. I will have the new Kitedeck boards with me and am keen to see what you guys at home think of em?
