Hi,

I arrived 1 month ago in Auckland for work and will stay until Christmas. I am coming from Holland and have been kiting over there.
But unfortunately I did not bring my gear with me, but I would love to get on the water again and especially meet new people over here, due to I am traveling on my own.

Can somebody recommend any schools / groups to join, where I also have the possibility to rent my stuff ?
I would really enjoy to see some nice spots over here and go on some trips.

If anybody could help me out with some advice, would be amazing.

As a suggestion you may want to give one of the stores a call as they will know the best places to ride, tips on launches etc and may be able to help you out with some rental gear.

I took a group lesson (and they also let you rent gear) just after I got here a while back and it really was not a good idea. Get yourself to one of the stores for a chat, see what they can do on the gear front, then have a chat with the locals where the wind is blowing. They should see you straight.

Lastly - we are having some access issues on certain beaches around here so try and make sure either have a chat with people where you are going to launch. Or at the very least say well away from swimmers, launch away from houses etc (especially at cheltenham beach) and keep away from wildlife (birds mainly).
