Pablo: Tell us about you, how did you start in this sport?

Pablo: Cuéntanos sobre ti, ¿cómo empezaste en este deporte?

Ben: I was living and working on Namotu island in Fiji about 8 years ago when some of the Maui crew including Brett Lickle, Mike Waltze, Dave Kalama, Rush Randle etc who first started kiteboarding came over to the island for training every so often and the surf is usually incredible in the morning’s in Fiji, but the afternoons would be all blown out, so I was left with nothing to do except watch these guys, so it only made sense to try it, Brett gave my myself and good mates Dano See, Scotty O’connor lessens and we never looked back after that.

Ben: Vivía y trabajaba en Namotu una isla de Fiji hace aproximadamente 8 años cuando de vez en cuando alguna gente de Maui incluyendo Brett Lickle, Mike Waltze, Dave Kalama, Rush Randle etc, en los comienzos del kiteboarding, venían de visita a la isla para entrenar; el surf es generalmente increíble por la mañana en Fiji, pero las tardes solián ser ventosas, por lo que no hacía otra cosa que ver a estos chavales, así que no tenía sentido no intentarlo, Brett, y los buenos colegas Dano See, Scotty O'connor me dieron clases y ya no hubo vuelta atrás.
