I know this is really the kitesurf area.. but no real point separating the 2 into different area posts

I'm sure will fill in more in the next post/newsletter but this is how I saw it:
Saturday.. murky cold and overcast. Nice onshore with dumpy surf. Some fast timed land based beach runs.

Sunday.. very light buggy weather until around 1? when it swung to a northerly (15-20ft superman on a 6.8m foil in 14kt+ after a wind-shift luff was NOT fun)

Julian, Cookie, Tom, Tim and some other brave souls got to ride some big waves and went waaayyy out past the break. (Tim was heard saying some of the holes had you facing a wall of water the height of a house)

Shes at home on water.. and land it seems.

Joe *swears* this was borrowed for the occasion. And he put a hole in it!

Tom boosting it on Saturday

Anthony doin his 'thang

Carl riding on the 6?ft

There's that Joe-sephine again

.. I have no words..

Chilling out while the brave go out to sea

Craig Hanson 2wheeling it.. And this was on a 3M foil!

Hi guys,
Thanks to everyone that came along to the 09 KITESPORTS Challenge, was a fantastic weekend of kiting...
Saturday morning the easterly wind built from 15knots, up to 25 knots by mid afternoon. This made for insane buggy times for the 8km run...
Landboarding... a bit too windy for my liking, but Nathan, Joe & a few others certainly put on a show.
The wave riding was epic Saturday, the waves just getting better as the day went on...
Saturday nights party went off! See ya Sammy
Sunday morning was hard for quite a few....but hangovers aside, the wind kicked in side/side off from the left, the swell was nice & big...8m & 10m kites set us up for a good long session, & yes, the walls of whitewater were as big as a house...hats off to those who went out strapless!

RESULTS:
Fastest buggy time of 8.58, & the winner of the Peter Lynn 6.8m Viper- Richard Pettett
Best Dressed- 1st Joe (wedding dress), 2nd Sam (suit on the water)
Best Freestyle landboarder- Nathan
Wave Master- 1st Cookie, 2nd Julian
Wave Master Female- 1st Sandy, 2nd Ariana

SPONSORS: A big thanks to Peter Lynn Kites, DAKINE, Stance DVD Mag, RUCK JACK, Watershed Bar, & The Bach Bar

Shane...the kite cam pics are wicked, was that when you were out on your 6m Rise on Sat?

Anyone got any more pics?
