Anybody interested in trying a kite assult on Brampton reef in the Bay Of Islands next big north swell we get. Anyone not sure where this is it is a volcanic reef that runs out from Waitangi for about 1.5 Km. I have surfed and windsurfed it at about 12 foot, it holds a bigger wave than that. It is best a day or 2 after a n to NE storm when the swell it still big and the wind has switched to SW. I think it would be epic wave riding with big wally waves, left and right breaks. Worth checking out after the next cyclone, if we get any this year. Thought I would suggest it as we head into the cyclone season. We would need a boat !
