if you live somewhere in nz other than christchurch and you want to see something that will make you vomit, check out:

while the rest of us pay for their fun with freezing temperatures, the boys at underground have been making pigs of themselves (adrian's conveniently overseas and thinks his business / factory managers are finishing the factory rebuild - not SNOWKITING!)

Nice pics - looks like the UG boys scored some good conditions.

Tim and I took the afternoon off on monday and went looking for some similar conditions. We found the snow but the wind was a little gusty - however we did manage to put a couple of rugby fields to good use! They were well tracked up in a hour or two!

As long as Hartill is using my nice new (secondhand) Trucker then I'm fine with it all. It's a bit sureal siting in 30 degree windless Holland looking at pics of Chch snow. It's be less surreal if we actually had some wind.

Chris

PS Hey Westside do you really need to fuck with our heads by having a black on black colour scheme?

Re: TIN-ARSE SOUTH ISLANDERS SCORE FRESH TRACKS! 8 years, 10 months ago #195

hey chris,

what are you doing in holland? dicking around with the peter lynn crew i imagine. give us some feedback.

as regards the colour scheme, what would you rather see: blacks on blondes?

What was it like there? That's a pretty good spot that Tamaki Sandspit... Hey Jaffa what's your kite? What board (s) do you use?

I felt it neccessary to move to the other side of the world and find a slider you couldn't destroy. Pete did however use the aforementioned slider to smash the Vlieger Op van windscreen. Other than that I'm locked in a hot smoke filled room (is there any other sort here) sewing kites and supposedly testing them. Of course for that you need wind which is why I came here in the first place (well that and the slider).

There's a little shop across the road which offers something along those lines.

Would be nice to try the trucker but went round and couldn't find it. Ian, Neil, Bob and I skivved off from underground and stopped off at your Peter Lynn kite testing park in Ashvegas. Four of us had the 20cms of dryest ripped to shreds in an hour. Was fully powered on 14 Toro2 but really gusty. Like even Neils Guerilla gave up on the job drifting around in the backwash at times. Then went down to check out Tekapo, spent a nice day crossing the dollar signs in very light powder at not steep roundhill. Need more snow inland...not on the boring flat plains.

That's either becasue I hid it really well, or someone else already took it. Bastards the lot of you.

You should have gone and got OML. He would have looked good straped to a board down at the park.
