We invested this winter in our own unique in-house digital graphics system.

This now allows us to produce (almost) any graphic you like and laminate it into your custom board.

Very nice. Great detail and good to see the graphic is part of the boards' strength and not just a plastic cover on the outside!

Yeah looking good. Just need to correct something though just in case potentials customers think dvnt kiteboards use unnecessary plastic covers on the outside...lol

The tensile strength of the plastic top and base sheet that I use (Imported from Europe) in dvnt kiteboards is high and contributes to the boards strength greatly.

The wear resistance value of the plastic top and base sheet that I use in dvnt kiteboards is also much higher than bare epoxy/glass.

Decay - just got to check out one of your new clear wood finished boards this morning, a fine piece of work - you are a craftsman indeed!! What thickness is that timber?

Now why the hell anyone would want to cover that up with graphics I don't know :shock:

Thanks for the the positive feed back, we are all stoked here on this season boards. I have to admit tho it was Su that came up with the new wood finish - the lamination bay is her domain.

Final thickness depends on the lenght of the board and the flex pattern required - could be anything from 7.6 to 11.8mm depending on the board.
Having our own CNC router means we are able to adjust the thickness at any part of the board in 0.1mm steps!

The nice thing about our graphic system is it doesn't 100% cover the wood - the lighter colours are translucent so you get to see the wood thru these areas.

The board second from the right in this pic was printed with a very light brown fading to a mid brown back ground colour to bring the wood grain out:
