Freeride is on!
Postponed pre xmas due to a poor forcast the Freeride is now on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Feb.
While we are now into 08, this is still officially the 07 Slingshot Raglan Freeride.
There will be no further postponements.
Wind or not the fun and party will be on this weekend.

The Slingshot Raglan freeride is a social gathering of a wide cross section of people brought together by this crazy sport. It's a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. It's an opportunity to kite one of the best kiteboard locations in NZ and the world in relative safety. (So far we have 1-3 thundercats and a jetski with surf rescue mat lined up for your security)
It's not a competion although there maybe a couple of competitive twist thrown in.
It is also a celebration of life and kiting in memory of good friend and fellow kiter Doug Wisor who passed on doing what we all love just over three years ago.

Slingshot kites will be available to demo Fri / Sat / Sun.

See you all there!!

Cost is $35 which includes Sat night BBQ, DJ and party at the Yot Club, prizes, and your 2007 limited addition t-shirt. (chicks tees available).

For accomodation, many of us are staying at the Raglan Kopua Holiday Park 07 825 8283

Bump... long range forecast is looking good.
Lightish westerly which means with Raglans legendry sea breeze and current it should be going off in Rags and stuff all anywhere else.
Come and get it!

Its going to be a great wknd no matter what. Good chance to catch up with mates. Talk shit... which some of us are actually quite good at. Drink sum beers and support the efforts of the people who put on events like this. I just cant wait to see chicken legs in action. After such good form at the K.U.N.T nats. Hippy running wild. Earl at one with nature on a paddle board. Who knows but im sure it will be very entertaining. And hell we may even get a good kite in to boot. So pack ya car and see ya there.

Nice late arvo sess in Raglan today to start off the Freeride.
Looking good for tommorrow with a light sw forecast and looking good for an early seabreeze.
Registration from 8.30am at the end of Volcom lane outsite Gag/blow me and the coffee shop.
It's an early tide so plan on being down at the beach/harbour mouth from 9.30\10, hopefully with wind.
If no wind first thing then the boat will be in the water towing etc.
Ballistics have 'kindley' lent us a Wake Kite... looks extremely 'gay' but may provide some entertainment.
