I'm thinkin of going kiting in Northland between 3-10 January since I will be in Auckland for a week (I would start my trip in Auckland).

The idea is to rent a car, stay at campgrounds and go kiting as often as possible. I'm still learning so I prefer large & safe beaches and don't want to go alone.

If anybody is keen on going, maybe we could team up?

Hi Radu,

We will be at the beach everyday it is windy from now on. Ruakaka works in ANY wind direction and is perfect for new kiters - lots of space available.

There are two local camp grounds, tho they are pretty packed this time of year.
