( not my first ) but why dont we ban guests from posting anything at all, it is a kiteboarding forum and if they dont have the BALLS to put their name on it, fuckem...im sick of arseholes posting shit when they are probably not kiteboarders and wont ever be cause they got no gonads. so what do youall think of that ? i know i go on abit but im old and thats what happens when you get to my age,yeah i bite too but fuc it, anyway i got a ride today at taka 10 > 12 kts on the ole 16 ,lots of folk to dodge but no worries.

i'm with johnienz on this one - 'guests' who make snide comments about other people's posts and don't identify themselves need to go back to oragami or lawn bowls.

although i don't suspect that our saying so will stop a man with no nads popping in his pence worth behind the guise of the gonad-less pseudonym 'guest'!

Why all the Jonny bashing dickhead?! He's one of the most chilled guys you'll ever meet at the beach- you might not know that though because its obvious you don't go to one very often, Do you even know how to launch a kite or are you just another faceless anonymous twit who watches lots of kite-vids and thinks that makes you a kiter.

Honestly, you guys all sound like a bunch of teenage girls. Every post I look at is just bad-vibing, crap-slinging, ego-boosting pooh. This is a forum for KITESURFING, not personal bitching. If you want to do that, write into the "Letters" page in Cosmopolitan or something.

Although I rarely pop onto the site, I hear alot about what goes on in here and when I do look to see what everyone has to say, it's just not even worth the time uploading the site on my damned slow computer.

You guys play nicely or you're all going to your room without tea!!

And don't forget, everyone has to kite in all the same spots together...you should be supportive and friendly, not "I've got the biggest balls in all of NZ and this guys a dickhead and that guys a kook, etc."

THIS SPORT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN. Don't forget that.

And yeah, I think people slinging shit and hiding behind the guise of "Guest" is just plan cowardice.

Shaan, I reckon you need to set up the forum so that there is no facility for "guests". If people want to post, then they should front up and be proud of their opinions and what they have to say.

no-one is more affected by anonymous posters than me, but as much as they sometimes piss me off - i am inclined to allow them to have their say within a reasonable framework. after all, they are easily deleted if they get out of line and no-one mourns their passing.

this forum is open for all (i have even un-banned BLOWN AWAY) - otherwise it becomes like some sort of exclusive gay club. i remember when i started posting on the anabatic forum, and often couldn't be bothered because of the log in palavers, passwords and general gayness of it all.

in my view this aversion to extra hassle plus general computer illiteracy are the main factors that stop a lot of people from contributing. at the moment, anyone can press one button and start typing and we have a lively forum.

occasionally guests who are anonymous for whatever reason (even mischevious ones) do have relevant, worthwhile and entertaining pearls of wisdom to share. mostly they provide moronic drivel that is easily ignored by registered users.

when they are rude, offensive etc. i do my best to delete them and will certainly do that if anyone points out where i have missed deleting something offensive.

i am still quite happy with this arrangement. i would put it to a vote, but only registered users can vote in polls so i suspect a landslide victory in favour of banning guests.

your just lucky your a funny bastard bro,have you ever thought about writing a book,cause you can realy go on and on... anyway lets have a poll and sort it.and as far as a gay club is concerned,you shouldnt deny your feelings.

OK, At least it has been entertaining reading since there hasn't been much wind around. Although we had a blast at Shoal Bay this evening!!!

Still, I vote as follows:

1. Johnienz for English lessons and a bridge building course so he can get over his deprived childhood. Comon dude, can't use that probation officer thing forever!! Get over it! 8)

2. No banning of guests because sometimes those scared arse people who have "no guts vese" need to hide in a safe place before they say something outside their comfort zone. Sometimes, its actually worth hearing as well. Well makes for a laugh anyway when there is no wind around and you have time to kill.

3. I also vote for more women out kiting to show the world that kiting is for everyone. (& they have better legs than guys. Most of the legs you guys own are hairy, srawny, scabby arse pins that only just keep you on the boards!

response to guest (as opposed to other 'guests'): no-one would mistake you for anyone else if you identified yourself in some way. it can be quite hard distinguishing between all the anonymous 'one hit wonders' with shocking spelling and remedial english skills.

in a moment of clarity you write: "last time i checked, this sport was all about just doing your own thing, in your own way, & in your own manner and just enjoying yourself" - my initial point exactly. to recap, i reckon it's generally lame dissing people who are doing the above - hoping the exploits of someone else will rub off on them, by association - in this case without the experiential pain of actually knowing what they're talking about.

forgive me, but that kind of twat has always wound me up in many sports i've been involved in. maybe not so for you, and good karma to you.

kiteboarding is for me - i've been happily doing it almost daily for the last four years or so, without your advice. i have no plans to stop and no, i am 33.
