TOPIC: Kiteboarding Shop and Eclipse is starting Demo Tour

Kiteboarding Shop and Eclipse is starting Demo Tour 4 years, 5 months ago #15678

As new kids on the block we are starting our demo tour with 7 new Eclipse kites and 5 Skywalker boards. Since there is wind in the forecast for Auckland tomorrow, Sunday December 8, we are considering heading either to Auckland or Orewa for the day. Any suggestions on the best spot and time to sail there?
Furthermore, we still have some team rider deals available nationwide. For those deals you do not have to be the handle pass and kite loop master of your spot. What counts more is your unlimited time to sail. We want our kites and boards to be visible as long as the wind is blowing.
Cheers,
Ralph

I'd encourage people to give them a go.

The Eclipses are a fast turning C/bow hybrid, they also feel good unhooked. Construction is excellent and Dimitri et. al. give lots of support on www.kiteforum.com.

I haven't seen the latest version but I gather they are now one-pump and they have improved the bar which was the weak point of last years model.

Thank you Orewa! It was definitely worth the trip. As outlined on our website our mission is to create a smile on our customers faces. And you smiled. Blessed by constantly strengthening wind we started out on 12s and ended up on 6s and 8s. Everyone loved our kites and boards with the exception of one fellow who preferred his bow. Fair enough but - he still thought our 127x37.5 Dimitri Competition was an awesome board.
Encouraged by the positive feedback we will be heading to other beaches soon. Please let us know where you want us to come. As previously mentioned we have the full range of Eclipse kites and the most popular Dimitri boards waiting for you to test ride.
Cheers,
Ralph
PS: A special thanks goes to Steve. Without him I wouldnt have been able to coordinate the day and he only volunteered his Sunday since he strongly believes you should have a go on our new gear.

Hello Simon,
Thanks for your post.
All Eclipse kites are one pump, or if you prefer you can modify all kites within minutes to single bladder and strut inflation.
This years bar does not even compare to last years. If you have a chance take a look and I am sure you will like them www.kiteboardingshop.co.nz/images/Bar.jpg
The swivel actually works and your front lines un-spin immediately after a rotation. The de-power and power strap is easy to reach and the QR keeps the loop wide open for all your un-hooked moves. The 2 OS handles add another safety feature to a well rounded product. Check out our prices and you will smile.

Sorry about any confusion.
The Eclipse kites are 4 line supported leading edge kites that can be completely de-powered similar to a bow. However, they do give you that nice punch during a kite loop as known from C-kites. The most outstanding characteristic is the kite speed. Especially the Thruster, which moves extremely fast through the window and is light on the bar. The Nano is a wave kite. Much slower, with a tighter turning radius and is a bit heavier on the bar. Try them.
