I went for a kite at the Mount yesterday arvo and there was this wierd shit in the water. It looked like that crystal rain stuff you put in pot plants after you've soaked it in water for a day ... or more like blobs of chopped up jellyfish about the size of a fingernail, which seems a lot more likely being at the beach and all. It was everywhere, right out at sea and all over the beach. WHAT THE F-CK IS IT? It stinks if you don't wash it off your gear straight away too .. the work car smelt great when I got home after my gear had festered away for a day in the heat not being washed. Also, I had a wee chat to some guy after my kite and when I got in the car and looked in the mirror (as chicks do) I discovered a big blob of it under my nose ... I hope the guy realised it wasn't a booger once he got into the water! Oh yes, right on track impressing the men folk as usual!

They have been at the Mount in past years too and I've always thought they were some kind of jellyfish. I've been surfing in a shortie amongst them and it felt as if they were stinging. Might have been my over-active imagination though....
