I think it is insensitive of the area they are kiting
some may think its fun how its been promoted
but the image portrayed is disrespectful of the area and its local people.

Like today in Paihia local iwi have placed a Rahui
until the young tourist who drowned body is found
though the wind is looking great, to go out would be disrespectful
and would damage the image of the sport here big time

I might be somewhat old fashioned in my views
but I think its all about respect
I mean no way will I show the info to my wife

If you need some advise on where to stay yes
But me support the image .. no
