im going to vanuatu with a couple of mates. am considering taking my kite gear since my mates are taking their surfboards. does anybody know if efate and tanna island are any good. would love to hear your experiences?

I went to Efate, Tanna, and Espirto Santo with a 12m during the winter.

Takara in North Efate is consistently windy (non-stop 4 days day and night) from the SE due to funnelling past the outer islands. The disadvantage is that the inner reef is dry at low tide. I didn't get any wind on Tanna, the trades had shut down at the time. Still an awesome spot though, much drier climate. We stayed at Port Resolution, there is a very good surf break there and would be awesome with some wind. Heaps to do though, climbing up Mt Yassar is recommended. Locals are very friendly too.
