Hi Everyone,

I thought I needed to let you know that I wont organize the NZ Kiteboarding Nationals next year.

I loved doing it three years in a row. It was fun, challenging and interesting. It was really cool meeting so many people and seeing everybody having fun. I thank you all for being so nice and friendly.

Unfortunately organizing such an event is time and energy consuming as well as quite a bit of stress and sometime you also get a bit of shit and criticism which can be hard to take when youre just a volunteer
Ive got other projects in my life (no not a baby) and thought it be a good time for me to hand over the comp to someone else.

Im willing to help whoever wants to do it next year. I can give you advice, come to the comp to help with the organization/logistic etc. Im still around if you need me but I dont want to be the main brain.
So if youre keen on organizing the Nationals, step out, give me a call if you wish.

Enjoy the rest of the nice temperature out there and Ill see you all at the next Nationals!

PS: As a reminder: there is no Nationals Kiteboarding in NZ. The Nationals has always been organized by people who believed in the sport and who stepped up to make a Nationals event happen.
Unless someone has the courage of taking this responsibility, there won't be anything happening...

Yeah you did an OK job. I hope the next unpaid volunteer really steps up to the mark though and shows you where you went wrong. Perhaps they could give the kiting community a deposit, a portion of which might get returned depending on how well they perform?

Delphine has done great and will be a very hard act to follow.

the irony of front loops comment has clearly been missed. Those that organise; arrange and cajole usally get whinged at; dumped on and unappreciated despite all their hard graft......

Sorry I must have missed my "irony" class at school, but I did go to the "mock someone when they do something really good" class.

I did some ironing once.. but that in no way qualifies me to run such an awesome event to the high standards of previous years.

I got the irony, and the message. Basically, you have to put up with a lot of shit to run the nationals.
