Some swine stole my car from the Devonport (Auckland) ferry car park last night (28 June). Subaru legacy station wagon BDF980. Anyway, it had 3 control bars in it -one X2 and 2 Naish bars, as well as harness and all my wetsuit gear and a couple of Naish pumps. No kiting for me for a bit unless it turns up intact - bugger. Let me know if you see 3 control bars up for sale cheap.

I guess I needed a new harness anyway.

One of the guys I go kiting with had his gear stolen the other day...

These useless lowlifes are too damn lazy to get a job so they take from the ones that work their asses off....

Is Auckland the only place this happens or do other places in the country have theft problems as well?

I 'm almost back - I now have a car that no self respecting thief would even consider stealing, and am slowly acquiring the bits needed to get back on the water. Look for a passion-pink, 1.4litre of unadulterated power, station wagon. Unfortunately, any attraction I may have had with the opposite sex will now almost certainly be buried along with my street cred at the first sight of the pink-avenger kitewagon.

 Concur with the Blown Up Fella above, you will be able to kite......oh yes..............you will!!!

And lets face it dude, the chicks you were scoring were shallow money hungry sex starved vixens looking for someone to show them a great time and to pay for it too.

Now, you can find that truly wholesome homely girl with the great personality. "Luff is in da air"

You wouldn't believe it dudes, my flatmate Julie rang me up in the middle of a Devonport curry last night advising my wagon was parked not far from where last seen. Intact apart from a missing ignition barrel and most of my kite gear. I did however get my harness and wetsuit back. Some local swine obviously was using it as free transport.Am now the proud owner of 2 cars.
will be back on the water in a few days, and I will now be able to score shallow money hungry sex starved vixens looking for someone to show them a great time and to pay for it too.

Cheers guys. Nice new anabatic logo Lee. I now have full insurance - a lesson learnt.

Manno- the car is a 1990 Toyota Sentra station wagon. Believe it or not, only one old lady owner, NZ new, she has really looked after it. Power steering, manual 5speed, 1.4 litre engine, 154km on the clock, very straight . Warranted 2 days ago, I bought it 2 days ago for $2600. I have a mate who is interested - will know by the end of the week if he wants it(and I'll need to use it until my No.1 car is fixed up). if he doesn't go for it, it's yours for $2500.

It is pink though (a dark version, not gay pink)!
