any specific info on the Yasawas, Fiji?

ive searched most forums but the info available is very mixed. Some say it's good, some say the coral, lack of beach, gusty wind make it no good. I am aware of the trade cycle.

we will be at the Oarsmans resort. I have checked the charts/GoogleEarth and just around the corner (about 1km) is a beach that faces Sth, has coral but am unsure of the depth.

Any info appreciated, I'll be sure to post about my experience on return. (unless it's so good I want to keep it secret!)

Oarsman is not flash for kiting. We stayed at Otto and Fanny's which is on the island behind Oarsman. We had wind every day that crept up around lunchtime to 20+ knots. From oarsman you will find locals that will take you somewhere the wind is ok (for the right price).
