Hi, I'm coming over to New Zealand from Feb to April and staying up in the Bay of islands, I hear there 's a few good kitespots up near Karikari Beach and Doubtless Bay?

Does anyone know of any other good spots up north and what are the wind conditions around this time of year?

Are the tradewinds good enough to kite in?

Cape Karikari and Doubtless Bay have some of the best kiting locations in New Zealand.

Look for a little place called Reef Lodge at Rangiputa, stop in and say hi to Phill and Chrisy before hitting the beach right in front of the lodge. This place works great in SW, and within 10min drive you have ANY wind direction covered.
