Only two weeks to go, and the details are firming up. Prize giving will now be from 7:30pm on Wednesday Dec 6, which is the next CWA Club Night. Being a club night and to make things interesting (i.e. for kiters & windsurfers), the CWA will be throwing in a spot prize of a GPS valued at over $200. Location yet to be finalised.

The Canterbury Kite Champs is just four sleeps away, and the MetService Outlook for Saturday is: Northeast 15 knots developing. Fine weather. I swear, it's true! Given the weather we've been having lately, it's a miracle. Keep praying for wind.

What happened?

Well, we had enough wind -to complete the competition on Saturday, the results of which will be announced at tomorrow's prize giving and CWA club night. In the meantime, all you need to know is that the weather godz delivered some classic Canterbury kiting conditions, amidst a week of decidedly average weather: a showery southwesterly Thursday/Friday, blue sky and 15 to 20 knots NORTH-EAST on Saturday; 20 to ~10 knots of north-east on Sunday; back to showers and southwesterly Monday! Check out the graph at cwa.org.nz/ckc/2006/wind_spd_dir_ckc06.gif .

Thanks for the pictures Neil.

Great pics neil.

As for the pic of the sasquatch above - I think it is Adrian but I can't tell because his face appears to be wrestling something of it.
