Hey all ,

looking at upgrading my gear , only got a 11m 04 slingy at the mo . was goin to get a set of C kites 8 , 12 , 16m. But wil i get the same wind range out of a 9m and 14m Bow ?????
whats a good 3 bow kite quiver ??
I'm 85kg , consider myself not expert , but not beginner kiter .
Also are the 05 waroos still a good Bow kite compared to the 06's ???

Advice much appreciated all ...

I weigh 95 kg and have gone for a 1 kite, 2 boards option. I have a 13m Ozone Instinct with 5th line upgrade kit, a 132FLX and 152 FLX. The 13m Instinct has the power of my old 16m kite, and depowers to about a 10m C kite. This covers me from 10 to 35kts. Total cost of that upgrade was significantly cheaper than 3 new-season 'c' kites + theres less to carry around if you take your gear on holiday. If the winds above 35kts I stay onshore regardless of my kite size.

An 11m Instinct might see you right - find a local store and give one a try.

Yeah the 14m Waroo and 9m Waroo would be a sweet 2 kite option.
I am riding the 3 kite 16,12,9m and it's like having 5 C kites.

For Auckland riding 2 Waroo kites 9m and 14m would be a great option too.

Waroo 05 vs O6, well the Waroo is actually a 2006 kite released here in March this year. So yeah it's an awesome kite and it's also a 2006 model kite.
The Waroo is quite different to other designs with their pulleyes on the bar and lots of pulleyes on the kite etc. The Waroo's are a more simpliied user friendly machine. Direct handling like a 'C' kite ... now yaw or slipping like a BOW. It's a well refined performance kite with an exceptional build quality too.

BEST have just developed a new kite for the 2007 season called the Waroo Pro. Thats a serious high end kite might be a bit more than your looking for though. But the option is there for everyone who wants to ride it.

Cheers Lee

Hey Ice Block,
The new 'Link' from Slingshot may be for you. A two kite quiver would cover anyone, depending on your weight a 7 or 9m, & a 12 or 15m. Complete with 4 line setup (bow style) or 5 line setup (octane), construction is like a bomb shelter. Sounds like Gavin is preferring these to his Fuels for a fun freeride kite, & I've heard he likes to do a bit of freestyle from time to time!
